Dog Channel for Dog Lovers

February 13, 2008

As the old saying goes, dog is man’s best friend. I am of those people who love to take care of dogs and love them as if they were my children. We recently bought a cute little Labrador retriever from a friend who is in the dog breeding business and I just love this little angel. The puppy was named Bronson and this name was derived from a local movie. Here’s a picture of our Labrador retriever with my friend’s nephew Miko:

Because I recently got Bronson, my love for dogs is once again at its highest. This urged me to make a small research about dogs and the different breeds like Labrador and golden retriever puppies. I stumbled upon DogChannel.com which is a resource for all information about dogs. This website simply has it all. They have a section for dog breeders and also a section where you can learn about all the different dog breeds in the world! Their Dogs news will keep you updated on the latest dog events, contests and announcements. Another feature of this website that I love is its Dog of the Day feature. Here you can see the recognized dog for the dayand its complete biography.

I really love the interesting articles that I read in DogChannel.com and I bet there’s just so much more to learn from them. This website’s resource center is really helpful because it tackles the most common questions about dogs. Some of these topics and questions and topics are tips on finding a lost dog, finding a veterinarian, finding puppies for sale, getting a license, finding a dog breeder and a whole lot more. If you love dogs like I do, DogChannel.com is our number 1 dogs and puppies information resource.

New Puppy

January 17, 2008

Jeff was offered a pet dog by his friend Grace because she helped her with completing her school project. The dog’s breed is Labrador retriever, the most popular among all dog breeds. It was scheduled to be picked yesterday Monday but there was a small problem. Jeff doesn’t have a car and he can’t pick up the puppy and use the public transport to take it home. Good thing Marvin, who has a gmc envoy, offered his help to pick up the car this weekend.

We are all excited about the puppy and last night we slept as late as 3 A.M. just for thinking on what we should name it. Up to now, we are still undecided among the names: Bronson, Jaguar and Panther. We already saw the puppy and it was black so jaguar would be perfect. However, we think that he is a bit too cute for that name. I have a strong feeling that we will end up with the name “Bronson” because this is the name of a cute character in one of the movies that we saw.

Over Population

December 13, 2007

In search of an interesting news about pets, I came to have read through a Chicago guide about the overpopulation of dogs there. Because of this problem, a limit of three to four dogs is suggested to be imposed to every household. According to Animal Care and Control, an organization that mainly concerns about pets, the overpopulation creates additional problems like pets waste management, odors and noise. Authorities are now getting alarmed at the rate the number of pets is increasing.

Though the aim of people behind this new suggested regulation is to solve the problem of overpopulation, a lot of people seem to be against it. Actually, others even believe that it could even cause more problems. According to some, this may even force the pet owners to just release their older dogs and let them stray. In my own personal opinion, pet owners should be given the right to have as many pets as they wish as long as they can properly take care of them and prevent them from causing problems to the community.
